Every year, thousands of Nigerian students search for one thing once results are released: how do I check my result? Whether you sat for WAEC, NECO, or JAMB, you need a valid result checker PIN to access your scores on the official portal — and getting an original, working PIN quickly is often the hardest part. This guide explains exactly what these PINs are, how to use them, and how to get yours without stress. What Is a Result Checker PIN? A result checker PIN (also sold as a scratch card) is a unique code provided by WAEC, NECO, or JAMB that grants you access to view your examination result on their official result portal. Without this PIN, you cannot retrieve your result online — it is the official, recognized method of result verification used directly by the examination bodies themselves. Each PIN is typically tied to a specific number of result checks (commonly one to five, depending on the exam body), after which a new PIN is required. This is why many students and parents prefer to purchase extra PINs in advance — especially during release periods when checking portals can be slow due to high traffic. WAEC Result Checker PIN The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) requires candidates to use a serial number and PIN to check their WASSCE results on the official WAEC result portal. This applies to both the May/June WASSCE (school candidates) and the November/December WASSCE (private candidates, often referred to as GCE). Once you have your PIN, you simply visit the official WAEC result checker page, enter your examination number, PIN, and serial number, and your full result — including all subjects and grades — will be displayed instantly. NECO Result Checker PIN The National Examinations Council (NECO) also uses a token-based result checking system for its Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), covering both the Internal (June/July) and External (November/December) diets. With a valid NECO PIN/token, candidates can log in to the NECO result portal using their registration number and token to view their complete result breakdown. JAMB Result Checker PIN The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) requires a result checking PIN/e-PIN to access UTME results on the JAMB portal. This is separate from your original JAMB registration and must be purchased afterward specifically for checking your score once results are released. Your JAMB result will show your UTME score, and where applicable, details relevant to your admission status for the institutions you selected during registration. Chat us up on WhatsApp now: 08101761152 Frequently Asked Questions Is this PIN the same as my exam registration? No. Your registration PIN/number is used to sit for the exam itself. The result checker PIN is a separate code purchased afterward, specifically for viewing your result once it has been released. Can one PIN be used multiple times? This depends on the examination body — some PINs allow a limited number of checks before they expire. We'll let you know exactly how many checks your PIN supports at the time of purchase. How fast will I receive my PIN after payment? PINs are sent immediately after your payment is confirmed — usually within minutes. What if my result hasn't been released yet? You can still purchase your PIN in advance and use it as soon as results are officially released by the examination body, saving you from rushing during the high-traffic period right after release. All PINs sold are valid strictly for checking results on the official WAEC, NECO, and JAMB portals.

If the time on the question paper differs from this timetable, the time on the question paper must be strictly followed. Specific venues for Physical Education Practical (Paper I), and French, Music, and Arabic Paper IV should be confirmed from NECO state offices. Science and Computer Studies practicals may run in sets where candidate numbers are high and equipment is limited. Visual Arts Paper IV (Creative Design) should be given to candidates at least one week before the exam date. Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) include a literature component. Albino and blind candidates are allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each subject. Blind candidates must use the NECO-supplied OBR customised braille sheet. Use of scientific calculators is allowed. Electronic communication gadgets — programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, and smart pens — are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Candidates who do not sit for Practicals (Paper I) will not have a result in that subject. Trade subject questions are hybrid in nature.
