The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the official timetable for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal.
The examination will run from Monday, 15th June to Thursday, 23rd July, 2026.

Important Notes for Schools and Candidates
- Every candidate must have a photocard for identification during the examination.
- If the time on the question paper differs from this timetable, the time on the question paper must be strictly followed.
- Specific venues for Physical Education Practical (Paper I), and French, Music, and Arabic Paper IV should be confirmed from NECO state offices.
- Science and Computer Studies practicals may run in sets where candidate numbers are high and equipment is limited.
- Visual Arts Paper IV (Creative Design) should be given to candidates at least one week before the exam date.
- Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba) include a literature component.
- Albino and blind candidates are allowed 30 extra minutes at the end of each subject.
- Blind candidates must use the NECO-supplied OBR customised braille sheet.
- Use of scientific calculators is allowed.
- Electronic communication gadgets — programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, and smart pens — are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
- Candidates who do not sit for Practicals (Paper I) will not have a result in that subject.
- Trade subject questions are hybrid in nature.
